An Update On The Work (over 3 years ago)

"The Mediterranean Sea become a new front line of response for MSF in 2015. We began offering medical care on search-and-rescue boars, exttending a lifeline to the ever-growing number of people risking their lives in leaky and overcrowded vessels in bids to reach Europe and beyond.

On one particular day last year, the MSF rescue fleet in the Mediterranean saved more than 1,600 people - including almost 200 children. These were people fleeing intolerable violence, persecution and human rights abuses in their home countries - places like Syria. They rished everything tin the hopes of finding better lives for themselves and their families. Thousands of others like them have undertaken similar journeys, and many of them never made it."
