This morning we had the opportunity to do a video conference with a 6th grade class from Halton Hills Christian School in Georgetown, Canada.
These students are part of ‘Kutoa Classrooms’, a resource for students to learn and engage on global humanitarian issues. Each month the class works through a lesson plan to gain understanding about a humanitarian issue and vote for one project that addresses said problem.
The students came prepared with clever questions. They were curious about how many people work for Kutoa, where do we find our projects and how we pick each month’s theme. We enjoyed interacting with the students and seeing the faces that are part of the Kutoa movement.
We look forward to more opportunities of engaging with Kutoa Classrooms around the world. Connect with us to make it happen.
