April was a tight vote. In the end, we chose to support a critical care relief project with Kamati's Kids in Namibia. Well done. This emergency need is certainly worthy and is very tangible. It is hard to think about sustainable solutions to hunger when people are actually starving. In the weeks ahead the program will shift from life-saving food support to true food sustainability as Kamati and others start to think about long-term solutions for the refugees we are helping. In fact, refugee care is the theme for June, so helping these Himba refugees with a sustainable solution to their problems may appear as one of our June projects! Our support will go to Namibia in the next few days. Kamati is preparing for his next relief trip and buying supplies as I write.
