The first Monday of October each year has been named World Habitat Day by the UN and there’s no way our partner, Habitat For Humanity, would let this day go unrecognized. Habitat teamed up with a variety of its stakeholders and companies who support their cause to raise awareness on the importance of adequate housing. After a university/school road show and some TV/radio interviews, a team of 470 volunteers was formed. Over the course of one day, volunteers painted 31 homes, held a community-wide clean up and held Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) education sessions in the community of Bek Chan, Cambodia! Congratulations to Habitat For Humanity on doing great work and raising awareness where it’s needed most!
