CNEC Singapore works throughout Southeast Asia. Their expansive network helps them respond effectively to disasters and humanitarian issues around the region. They have ongoing work in Myanmar, including with Rohingya people. Since the destabilization of Myanmar through a coup in 2021, their work has become even more critical. Their team inside Myanmar is coordinating relief with their team in Thailand. Items are getting from Thailand into Myanmar where many people have fled to the border region. Moving items by boat into Myanmar is a dangerous exercise. But they are successfully getting food and medical items to the people in need. These are internally displaced people who are at risk of disease and malnutrition as they wait until it is safe to go home.
